Job profile — Executive (on engagement)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieve monthly revenue targets via direct sales of IPPB products

  • Organize customer acquisition events, financial literacy campaigns and training sessions

  • Support/coordinate with DoP Inspectors (Sub-division), Postmasters and GDS to drive IPPB sales

  • Assist IPPB officers in operations and onboarding of customers

  • Manage strategic relationships with channel partners, run promotions and outreach

  • Any other duties assigned by the Bank


Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: 20 to 35 years as on 01.08.2025

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline (Regular / Distance Learning) from a recognized University/Institute

  • Experience: Nil (no prior experience required)

Important: Applicant must have no vigilance/disciplinary case pending and should not be serving any punishment at the time of applying. Also ensure you are not in the mandatory ‘cooling off’ period (2 years) if you were earlier engaged with IPPB.


Pay & Allowances

  • Lump-sum pay: ₹30,000/- per month (inclusive of statutory deductions & contributions)

  • Annual increment to lump-sum and performance-linked incentives as per IPPB policy

  • Tax deductions as per Income Tax Act

  • No other pay/allowances/bonus beyond what is specified


Tenure of engagement

  • Initial tenure: 1 year, may be extended year-on-year up to 2 additional years (total up to 3 years) subject to satisfactory performance and business requirements

  • Performance reviewed every 6 months. Unsatisfactory performance over two consecutive reviews may lead to repatriation after one month notice

  • Cooling-off: Mandatory 2-year cooling off after any period of temporary engagement with IPPB

  • Engagement is temporary/ad hoc; candidates are not eligible for regular absorption in IPPB


Selection procedure

  • Selection will be merit-based banking-outlet wise, primarily on percentage of marks obtained in graduation

  • Bank reserves the right to conduct an Online Test if required

  • In case of tie in graduation percentage, selection preference will be given by seniority in DoP service, then date of birth

  • Candidates must enter exact graduation percentage up to two decimal places. Where universities provide grades/GPA/CGPA, convert to percentage using the university’s official formula

  • Shortlisted candidates will be notified and required to produce documents (including vigilance clearance, statement of penalties in last 5 years, NOC where applicable)


Application fee

  • ₹750/- (non-refundable) — ensure you meet eligibility before paying

  • Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances


Documents & verification (at time of document verification)

Candidates should be prepared to submit:

  • Graduation certificate and mark sheets (showing aggregate percentage)

  • Vigilance Clearance Certificate from Divisional/Sub-Divisional Head

  • Statement of major/minor penalties, if any, during last 5 years

  • NOC from parent organization (recommended at time of application)

  • Any other documents as specified by IPPB


Leaves, Conduct & Other Terms

  • GDS engaged as Executive will follow GDS (Conduct & Engagement Rules), 2020 for leave and conduct

  • Ad hoc engagement will be counted as service rendered in GDS post for seniority and discharge benefits

  • Misconduct, unauthorized absence, insubordination, or indiscipline may lead to repatriation and further action as per rules

  • IPPB will transfer records/evidence to DoP in case of disciplinary action
